Come join the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church on Sunday, August 12 from 10:30 AM to 4 PM in Ganado Texas in their parish hall and grounds for their second annual feast day picnic. There will be a Country Market, Cake Walk, Beer Garden, Kid’s Zone, Live Auction, and a Wine Wheel!
The Country Market will start at 10:30 AM and will include canned items, plants, crafts, and more for sale. The Cake Walk will also begin at 10:30 AM.
The Beer Garden, of course, is for adults only and will begin at 11 AM. At the same time, you can drop your kids off at the Kid’s Zone. There will be two zones, one for the littles and one for the older kids, and the zones will include fun water activities to cool off with.
The Wine Wheel will also begin at 11 AM where you can spin and hopefully win some wine! Then, at 12 PM, there will be an awesome live auction in the Parish Hall. Items you can expect to see at the auction are: 4 quilts, beautiful tree trunk coffee table, antique plow seat, Astro package, mystery cooker, crosses, and a blessed rain gauge. There will be about 40 total items.
You can dine in the Parish Hall where they will be serving pork steak BBQ, sausage, and trimmings plates ($12) from 11 AM – 1 PM or you can drive through at the same time. There will also be a concession stand with sausage on a stick, nachos, etc.
Drawing for razzle prizes begins at 3 PM. Prizes consist of mainly money gift cards valued up to $500.
