Bay City, TX – Riverside Park and the Bay City Parks and Recreation Department want you to GO WILD! @ Riverside Park with the Riverside Park Rangers. A wide variety of fee-based outdoor programs and activities will be offered throughout the year to the public at our natural park.
Their last program will be Hunter’s Education on Saturday, September 23rd where basic instruction in firearm and hunting safety, legal and ethical hunting practices, nomenclature and a final exam will prepare you for all types of hunting within our great state.
“We want our guests to get out and explore Riverside Park,” said Shawn Blackburn, Parks and Recreation Director. “All our Go Wild! programs are designed to help people get out more and learn about the great outdoors that we live in. We want guests to learn about and enjoy the natural world and to be excited about all the wild things that are right here in Bay City.”
All programs are $5, except Camping 101 and Hunter’s Education. The fee for camping 101 is $10 and will include lunch and Hunter’s Education is $15. All programs except Hunter’s Education will meet at Tejas Pavilion in Riverside Park. Hunter’s Education will meet at the USO.
You can register in person at Bay City Parks Administration, 1209 10th Street, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or at Riverside Park, 7330 FM 2668, Monday – Sunday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. We have the option to register on-line.
